Numa Berlin Potsdamer Platz

The location is great, a few minutes walk to Potsdamer Platz and Anhalter Banhof, while still being extremely quiet. Earplugs not needed. We booked an apartment, which was decently sized and had an above-average sofa bed. The massive rain shower was one of the best hotel showers I’ve had. I would’ve loved to visit the Holmes Place gym, but they don’t accept visitors under 16 years old (even when accompanied by a parent) so as this was a family trip it didn’t work out. There is a very small gym in the hotel, which we visited, but it really was cramped and quite dark.

The kitchen has only the minimum amount of equipment; cutlery for exactly 4 persons for one meal, no toaster or microwave and no strainer. Even worse, the stovetop is non-induction and extremely underpowered. Do not try to sear a steak, and allow half an hour for pasta water to boil. It was also too dark for our preferences, with many lights mainly offering ambiance than actual light to see.

I had a great few days at this hotel and was impressed by how much has been digitalized through the app, from the room key to requesting the invoice. I didn’t get to explore everything the hotel has to offer, so I would definitely consider staying here again.

There are just two areas that could be improved. First, the breakfast boxes lacked variety. I stayed for two nights, and the contents were exactly the same on both mornings. It would be great to have three different options rotating on consecutive days. Second, the bathroom shower area was quite disappointing. Despite my best efforts, water kept flowing out from under the shower curtain because the floor did not slope properly towards the drain. As a result, the entire bathroom floor was flooded on the first night. This is definitely something that needs attention. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and appreciated the convenient digital services, but addressing these two issues would make the experience much better.

Perfect central location. Very premium decor and situated in a quiet yet very connected part of Berlin. Room was perfectly clean and the decor was fresh and trendy. Very similar room feel to the Hoxton.

Room wasn't serviced, basic supplies not replenished. No reception area to work or wait after checking out of the room.

Location, design of rooms

No staff or human contact. The rooms were noisy- could hear my neighbours having s*x and footsteps constantly - I did not sleep!! There were people coming in and out of the building constantly and am not sure they were guests. Didn’t feel safe to me.
