The location takes your breath away. The cabins are so cute and cozy and the views from your room, the pool and the deck of the restaurant are breathtaking. We did the rhino excursion and it was a super fun, and very long 10-hour excursion that did not disappoint. We saw zebras, giraffes, a herd of about 30 elephants and a rhino. So it was well work it.

You only need to stay for 2 nights. Arrive, the next day do the excursion and then leave the following day as once you have done that, unless you want to just chill, it is very remote and the lodge is empty in the day.

The highlights of our stay were: (1) the view down the valley - visible from the terrace and the room porch; and (2) the Rhino tracking activity - a highly recommended unique experience - you start very early in the morning and return in the afternoon. Seeing rhinos is not guaranteed, but we were lucky to see 3 black rhinos from a very close distance - a father, a mother and a baby. You have to book 2 nights to go on this tour. Dinner and breakfast were ok. If you have a 4x4 vehicle, take it all the way to the lodge; it will give you more flexibility. Otherwise, park it in the guarded parking area adjacent to the lower gate near the main road.

The place is a bit old and requires maintenance. The staff is really trying to provide good service, but they seem exhausted.
