Toyoko Inn Atami Ekimae

Convenient price, usual quality, it does the job but doesn't impress

The rooms are not soundproofed. There's only one elevator for 20 floors and 200 rooms; it takes forever to get through.

The room have a nice size, we could open our bags and had space to move around :D. Check in was easy and we could use kitchen equipment for breakfast :). Perfect for checkin after long flight in nice peacefull location with metro and train station in the nearby.

A decent Toyoko Inn. Room is generally decent and typical of this hotel chain based on decor and layout. Free breakfast is delicious and plentiful.

Not much, generally is a little far if you want to go to Sun and Moon Beach, but there are buses to get you to the station and beaches.

Staff were lovely, rooms were clean, breakfast was great. Close to train station, though a bit far from the beach.

We were in a smoking room and the window barely opened making the room a bit stuffy. Not the fault of the hotel, but there was an extra stay surcharge installed by the city of Atami. Not a huge amount, but it caught us off guard as there was no mention of this on Booking.com. A heads up or rolling the fee into the price paid would have been nice. We weren't trying to be difficult about the fee at the front desk, we were just a bit blindsided, as it was unexpected.
