L' Auberge Campagnarde, Lourdes

Cet hôtel a répondu totalement à nos attentes.

Simple auberge in the centre of Poueyferre, a village some 5 kms or so north west of Lourdes. A warm welcome from the host, an aperitif on the terrace, an excellent dinner, a good night’s sleep and good breakfast. We walked in to Lourdes (about one and a half hours via the Chemin du Lac and Chemin Henry IV [don’t attempt to walk on the main road]) and returned on the bus (two hourly to the Marie - a short walk from the auberge). Overall an excellent alternative to staying in Lourdes and great value for money

The bed was small and the mattress protector a little noisy - but we selected the basic room
