Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I will say this home was everything we thought it would be. The location on the bay was great as well as with a short walk across the street you were at the beach. Waking up every morning with the view from the bedroom window made it even sweeter. Loved having all needed cooking supplies as we did do a good bit of cooking. Would definitely stay here again. The only minor advice I would have would be to make sure guests are aware the directions to the beach access are on the wall in the laundry room. The emailed directions we received were a tad confusing. After seeing the visual on the wall in the laundry area it made way more sense. Either way we located the beach access without much difficulty. Thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful home for our vacation.

This home had all of the comforts of home. The furniture was very comfortable in every room. The kitchen and bathrooms were wonderful. The walk-in showers were amazing. We hope to rent again next year!

Amazing! This was the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in. I love that everything was laundered, including bedding and bathmats. The beds were very comfortable. But the location is what made this place incredibly special. Quiet and peaceful, with amazing views of the bay. The house was tucked into the trees with no visibility from the road- super private. We sat out on the dock and watched the fish jump for hours. The beach was just across the road. The kitchen is spotless too and well equipped for cooking. The trade off of this location is that it’s a short drive (or bike ride) to town - 3 miles. Worth the trade off! The bike trail runs the whole way, so safe and easy. In addition to enjoying the island, we highly recommend the town to of Apalachicola.

The location could not be beat as we could take the bike path to town for an easy 30 minute ride one way. The house was clean and the bathrooms were very nice. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen and it was well equipped. We used the kayaks and that was a nice bonus. There is a lot of bird watching to be had here and the solarium is an ideal spot to still enjoy the view but stay warm if it’s too cold (and vice versa). The bay is right out of your backdoor with a very nice dock to enjoy morning coffee! And the beach is easily accessible in less than 5 minute walk across the street. We love St. George Island for this reason and so glad we found it. Shellpoint was the perfect sanctuary for a relaxing vacation!
