AWe loved high tide. Ground floor bedroom lovely. Great to have kids in two upstairs bedrooms. Kitchen very nice. Having lots of screened in decks gave us room to spread out. We loved using the kayaks and beach chairs supplied. AC was great. Fans were nice. Scenery was beautiful. And Chincoteague was amazing. Just be prepared for excessive mosquitoes in June.

We had a nice Memorial Day weekend at High Tide. The 9 of us enjoyed the stay despite the big issue of the upstairs a/c unit not working. Fortunately, we had cool weather with a nice breeze. Pros: Nice kitchen with several useful appliances, pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils; comfortable couches; great screened porches, 1 with a nice table, 1 with additional seating & a hammock; great location - walking or biking distance to eateries and shops; lots of communication from the property manager prior to the trip and easy to contact with issues (responded quickly to the upstairs a/c unit not working though the technician couldn't fix it during our stay). Cons: with the exception of the 1st floor bedroom, all mattresses have seen better days; some windows were hard to open/close; 1 of the screened porch doors was tough to open; a little TLC for the overall house is needed.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. The kitchen had everything we needed, the air conditioning kept us comfortable. The view of the water and night sky from the upstairs balcony was wonderful. We spent many hours in the screened porch.
