Lovely little compact cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. Walks right from the doorstep. Perfect for a quiet getaway for 2. My only real issue- cobwebs! Lots of them and spiders-( I counted 7 during my stay). High up on the exposed roof beams and in the nooks/ even the wardrobe. All need a good clean/ dust which would solve this issue. The rest of the cottage was generally clean and reasonably comfortable.

Ideal if you have a small dog, lots of lovely scenic walks around Esthwaite lake and a ferry ride if you fancy Windermere. Hawkshead village is 2 miles round the lake, The Honey pot has lots of fresh food, and Beatrix Potter house is in the same village of Sawrey. This was our third visit to this accommodation and we had a very relaxing stay, the entrance to the courtyard is a bit narrow but there is also parking a few yards down. Thank you
