The residence is a wonderful vacation spot on the coast of the Irish Sea with beautiful sea views. The home is spotless and fitted out with everything you’d need for your visit. It’s close (10-15 minute drive) to Dundalk and Carlingford and an hour from Dublin and Belfast. The host, Ciara, is super friendly and accommodating and went out of her way to make our visit a special one. One great bonus is Ferguson’s Bar within walking distance which for us was a genuine magical Irish experience. We loved every minute of our stay and can’t thank Ciara enough for such warm hospitality and attention to detail.

We had lovely time. Amazing location next to the sea with superb views. Perfect if you like sea swimming. The harbour wall has a colony of cute guillemots that are unusually tolerant of people and swim with human bathers. Great room to look out at the view and to sit on one the of the balconies. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms and well appointed kitchen. Lovely friendly responsive host. Handy parking for two cars.

Although the accommodation was clean and comfortable and did have an ocean view, the general surroundings were far from what was described or expected for the high price we paid. The exterior and immediate surroundings were pretty unsightly, leaving us quite underwhelmed. Simple basics like paper towel, facial tissues and a coffee maker were not available. The bedrooms have motion sensors that illuminate with almost every movement within the room. We have always had great luck with VRBO, but found this property lacking.
