The building and interior were absolutely beautiful and took us back to a bygone world of beauty and calm. The setting was peaceful and we loved the communal dining room where we were able to talk to other guests. The setting encouraged conversation and a slow pace.

Brilliant breakfast, locally sourced ingredients. Loved chatting with other guests round the breakfast table.
Didn't explore the garden on this visit.
Watch out for the bus services: a bit tricky to come to grips with.

Delicious, proper breakfast set out on sideboard.
Beautiful authentic decoration throughout, in keeping with the Victorian period.
Gardens were fascinating and also stunningly beautiful.

Because of problems I was relocated and although I felt safe it was very awkward using bathroom and facilities
