We host a large family gathering with 4 different families and about 24 total guests. There is so much to love about this house, the location, the size, number of bedrooms, and waterfront. We stayed her last year and loved it so we came backBUTThere are serious problems with this house. This is a very well loved and worn out house. Their are maintenance issues that the owners are unwilling to do.Our interactions with Julie from the management company was great. Very responsive but her hands were tied to fix things. Here is a list of items renters should be aware of:1. Basic supplies like shampoo, conditioner, and body soap was very limited in the house and Management stated that owner was unwilling to provide this basic supplies.2. The appliances such as the stove, fridge, dishwasher were great in the 1990's but they are very worn out and are subpar for their performance. We had to place a chair leaning on the oven doors to keep the doors closed to allow the oven to maintain a even temperature. Dishwasher was on its last leg a year ago and not any better now.3. The driveway area there are 6 or 7 lights and all but 1 is burned out which left the area dark. Many lights out in bathrooms, bedrooms, etc.4. The patio door does not lock securely. Very old and not safe.For the premium they charge for this house, it should be kept in better condition. It they are not willing to repair or update, then price should reflect this. Love the home, but....

This property was absolutely breathtaking. From the moment we got to the property, I knew this was going to be a special place. There was everything you could have asked for in a friend gathering and would go back in a heartbeat if I have the opportunity!

Beautiful property and lake access was great. Perfect for our 32 family members plus some day drop ins.Close to town.

First off, I want to say how wonderful Julie was! Helpful and kind in trying to help us with the issues we encountered. The house had space for all of us to be comfortable, and the view was spectacular! But, there were a lot of problems. The main backdoors handle was just about off, and wouldn't lock, 2 coffee pots..only one worked, 2 ovens..only one worked, in the master, there were 6 stairs to get up to the bathroom with NO handrails! My husband is 83 and it was difficult. Also, there was no safety railing around the patio, which had a 3-4 ft drop in places. Lastly, the beautiful windows, which ran across the back of the house, were filthy. If these problems were addressed, this truly would be “A Castle.”
