Extremely easy check-in. The house was clean with plenty of towels. Well-equipped kitchen with plenty of spices & condiments. It's really the view to the lake that is the spectacular aspect of this house. Stairs were navigable (thank you for the heads-up) and our granddaughter was excited by the daily train passing. Only real downside were the windows, none of which can be opened. The description was clear about this, but in reality caused for some discomfort, especially at night. Host very easy to deal with, and the lake is fantastic!

Enjoyed our time in Newport

This place is just about absolute perfection. And though you will get in a good stair workout, it’s worth it.

First and foremost, the hosts were amazing and the view was spectacular. I cannot say enough good things about the host. He was very responsive and very attentive. My stepson had a great time and caught some pretty decent fish on the lake. We found dirty pans in the oven from the previous renters that the cleaning crew did not catch. That aside, our only concern was some safety issues with the house. All of the floors are uneven. The refrigerator doors and the guest bath door will not stay open due to the sloping of the house. In the kitchen, you start going downhill and then at the end you are walking uphill.
