Coulda been better. I was so excited to stay here based on the photos, but some small items left me disappointed. The great views and main features were as listed. However, it was in need of care. The outside deck wood was warped and the yard was overgrown filled with litter. The master shower was missing a door and left you cold. The outside screen patio was filled with dust on the furniture. Half the remotes needed batteries. The variety of kitchen appliances was nice and kids loved the video games. The steep driveway should be a big warning in the description. It made us want to limit our trips out. I will say the easy bear sightings made the visit unique from our other cabin stays.

The entrance area to the front door is treacherous and needs some big attention. Very uneven big rocks & washed out gravel. Whole outside area needs attention - lots of overgrown bushes - paint peeling off siding. Icemaker in refrig not working - we got a bag of ice. Need a new stove - the lights warning of hot surface never go off even when burners are off. The beds were super comfortable and overall the cabin was very nice.

We almost canceled our booking due to poor reviews in late 2025. We are so happy we did not! There are some cosmetic issues with the house as noted in previous reviews, but they did not negatively impact our stay. The house is clean, beds are comfortable and the view is spectacular! We had an issue with the hot tub (a bear sat on the cover the previous week) and Alisa was very responsive to our messages and worked to resolve the issue so the hot tub was usable for our stay. We would absolutely rent this house again.

Overall this was a pretty nice place but the upkeep on the property leaves a lot to be desired. The paint on the whole house is all pealing off. The screens on the porch are ripped or just gone. Stains on the carpet in one of the bedrooms, the back door to the deck is broken and you have to even watch a video to figure out how to open it, there is a hole in the wall on in the stairwell to theaster bedroom. Now in the master bedroom, mold in the shower, a toilet that kept flushing, a shower that drips so hard that you have to leave the shower head hanging down so it won't wake you up, one of the shower doors is just missing letting water leak all over the floor with mold on the one side that was there and the doors to the master had thin drywall screws and fell out leaving only one hing attached. I spent about an hour and fixed the toilet that was full of mold cleaned up the mold in the shower, replaced the toilet guts, rehung the door and fixed the side rail on the master bed because it fell off. Also the back deck is about 2 to 3 years from needing to b a totally replaced. The deck is sagging and not level with a few soft spots. The pictures show a house in great shape but the owners have not done any real upkeep in quite some time. For the price I paid I would expect no mold. A solid porch with the screens not ripped and missing. No paint peeling and doors that don't need a video to close them that aren't half broken.
