Domaine Sur Les Sarts

Very nice domain. Very restful environment. Beautiful garden. Clean (although small regular) room. Spa also clean. It's clear the place was renovated aan this was nicely done but the charm, elegance and authenticity of the domain does seem to have been lost due to the 'modern' renovation. There seems to be a commercial focus that sadly impacts the hospitality.

No reception (only a few hours a day) so you receive your key from a locker. it seems that a lot is done to 'save' expenses: friendly but clearly understaffed personnel, no bathroom slippers (you can buy them), no body cream (a bit disappointing for a wellness hotel), nice but small rooms (the domain is an ancient building where you would expect bigger rooms), in an attempt I suppose to have a modern design atmosphere there is lounge music in the hallway and poolhouse but this is actually too loud and disturbing. The spa in the garden was out in the evening but no staff around to even tell there was a problem.

Amazingly beautiful territory and the hotel itself. Cozy atmosphere and spa. Good swimming pools. Few people - a great plus of the place!!! Very nice restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast was totally screwed - permanent shortage of food and tables full of dirty dishes. Very few people from the personnel spoke English or Dutch. Impossible to do late check-out.

Beautiful building and grounds.

No staff at property to help. When we were there the bar and restaurant were closed. We asked for a recommendation via mail, unfortunately the hotel never answered.
