We had a wonderful stay! James was friendly, communicative, and made everything easy from booking through check-out. The cabin was spotless, private, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our dogs absolutely loved exploring the property, and the lake and surrounding scenery were beautiful. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet. A perfect place to relax and unwind. Spending the Fourth of July here was exactly what we were hoping for. We'd gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway.

This place is magical and we enjoyed our time there. The host James was welcoming and inviting without overstaying, the perfect balance of being available but giving us privacy. The cabin and the grounds were immaculate, and the charcuterie was some of the best we've ever had! The lake is a true marshland lake, such a rare and diverse area full of frogs and birds, the shore is peat moss and the colors are amazing. We are looking forward to returning for sure.

We loved our stay at the Nighthawk Cottage. Private dock, fire pit, hot tub and secluded location.

The Property is beautiful. Very peaceful but although the Owner is very nice he insisted we meet him at checkin. Due to this we missed meeting family to help set up for the wedding and also missed dinner with everyone. Very disappointed. We were not told about having to meet the Property Owner until well after we made reservations. We were sad to miss family time while there. We felt pressured to get there and meet him. Not a good thing. Also the hot tub is very long walk away from the rental. Didnt use it. To cold to get out of the hot tub and walk that far back. He said we could drive to it but didnt want my car all wet. So the hot tub is really not part of the rental. He was polite and allowed us to bring our small dogs. That was very much appreciated. Overall very nice place.
