New, great location, very comfortable

The location was very quiet yet convenient for access to public transit and amenities. The property is beautifully decorated and finished - excellent shower and other bathroom facilities, great 'traditional' Japanese vibe, nice art, high quality throughout. Many thoughtful additions like flashlights, umbrellas. Communications with the host were excellent and very helpful.

The lack of audio privacy between the two bedrooms (but easily resolved with ear plugs!). Also, it would have been helpful to have closet space with hangers and drawers for clothes, as well as reading lights by the bed.

Location and quality of accommodation

Nothing

In the charming Gion district and pretty easy to access to the attractions. The house is in the quiet residential district with all the traditional looking houses. The house is spacious (perfect for big family), nice and also very clean. I have to say it’s actually the best stay during our Japan trip! This place exceeded my expectations. Also very easy communications with the employees thru email/messages, the guy met us to gave us the key was also nice. We really enjoyed stay and love Kyoto, if we ever come back to Kyoto and this place is available, I would like to stay again.

None :) The only thing is the entrance door lock wasn’t working, it couldn’t be locked from inside of the house.
