I booked the lodge on a whim on the day. Both Fionnuala & Alex were great with the community and Alex showed me around at my arrival. Both lovely hosts and had good conversations with the horse lodging owners, watched the sunset and was perfect for after a long day hiking, to just relax by the fire with a book in hand. Place was warm throughout, felt spacious, very clean and homely. Really appreciate the bread, butter, milk and jam 😊 Cannot wait to be back again.

Nothing at all.

Beautiful chalet, very well equipped, clean and very comfortable with a very nice, friendly hostess.

Nothing

The property was a good base to visit local National Trust properties

The lodge itself is cosy and comfortable. Host and the family members are all welcoming and friendly. For a family of 3, it made our overall experience peaceful. Locationwise, not far from attractions and some scenic views.

Relying on wifi as there's no mobile network reception for both of us. But in way, it was good to keep ourselves away from our daily routine communications and enjoy the time away
