Carole and Alan were really great, available when we got there, showed us round, the grounds are amazing, lots of places to sit and watch the world go by, wildlife and so quiet. our hosts gave us loads of information about what to see in the local area, how far away everything was. Not far, it's ideally situated. There is a cafe about 100 yds away too, great if you don't fancy cooking breakfast :) but quiet when you needed it to be (evenings). I would have no hesitation in recommending this fabulous little hideaway, photos don't do it justice. There were lots of little things that "big" corporations don't think of. Thank you Carole and Alan, we will be back

Great location overlooking Buxton down the valley. It is remote but not far from anywhere. The hosts Carol and Alan were welcoming and helpful. The property was ideal for a couple to have a nice relaxing stay.

Such a unique and awesome property steeped in history and character. Although the weather was horrendous, we stsyed in, played some board games that were available and made some meals and had some quality time together. The decor was amazing and well kept. Fully equipped kitchen with some luxury cutlery and the hosts left some essentials such as eggs, bread, milk, cereals and biscuits. Definitely worth the money. Will stay again one day I hope!

Great hosts, beautiful location and fabulous decor... really enjoyed our stay. Many thanks.
