We spent two weeks at The Wheatfields in August 2022. Our hosts David and Linda were great at communicating with us leading up to our holiday and answered all our questions. On arriving David and Linda were there to greet us and show us around our holiday accommodation. It is, just as it looks in the pictures, but with some updated additions, new decking areas to the gardens and comfortable garden furniture. The gite is like a home from home, it has everything that you need and more. There were the essentials food wise to get you started and lots of little extras coffee pods, tea and of course wine. The pool was great and much needed as the weather was very hot when we were vacationing. The pool and pool area were kept lovely and clean. The communal garden and driveway is gated, so nice and secure for little ones. The Wheatfields, which is part of a small three Gite location, is in a lovely rural setting, quiet and peaceful, so you do need a car, but nothing is too far away, the roads are good and not that busy. While the location is rural it is by no means remote with several great local places to eat, some less than ten minutes away by car. The centrepiece of the property are the two princes Harry and William (Willy to his friends), These two poodles are real characters, always ready to greet you and raise a smile. David and Linda have plans for this property which will only make it a more desirable place to visit, signs of this were evident every day as they both worked hard to maintain the homes and improve things. We had a wonderful time, a great base to explore from or just relax by the pool. David and Linda were always nearby if you needed advice as to places to visit or anything you needed, nothing was to much trouble. The only downside was we had to leave.
