Beit Alshabaan Inn

The warmth and friendliness of the hosts were the biggest highlight. Excellent value for money, the place had everything we needed for a one-night stay. Very convenient location, less than 10 minutes from Petra Visitor Centre. Breakfast was a lovely spread with a great variety of dishes, enjoyed with an amazing view!

This is not a luxury hotel, so don't come expecting five-star finishes. It has a homey, modest feel, which is part of its charm, but worth setting expectations accordingly. Ours were, and we did not leave dissapointed.

I went to Jordan right after the whole military situation with Iran began, so there were almost no tourists there. I’d say Petra was deserted. So, when I arrived at the hotel, I was the only one guest there. I really appreciated how the staff made my stay so comfortable. The room was clean and I had a nice view of the city. I really enjoyed the homemade food served for both dinner and breakfast. The owner was friendly and helpful. Good Wi-Fi. It’s also worth coming here by car (and in general to explore the country) as walking up and down the hills to Petra or into town is quite a quest.

where shall I start? firstly, the room description is misleading, they only have one room with balcony so it is not quite likely you get that one; the reception guys are quite unresponsive to repair poor things… I will tend to avoid next time
