Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience was very good. Chincoteague Island is a wonderful place to visit. I have rented through harbor Rentals every time we visited the island. The vacation home was charming and in a easily accessible location. It was large enough to house the 7 adults that stayed in the home. Beds were comfortable all appliances worked well. Furnishings were serviceable and a bit dated and stained. Pots and pans were not in very good condition as the Teflon coating were pealing and not useable. Otherwise we enjoyed the home and the beauty of this wonderful island

We had a good time at A Summer Place. There is a nice water view out back, and a great screened porch in the front. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the mattresses are comfortable. The kitchen has plenty of space and there is an abundance of cookware and dishes, as well as silverware and other kitchen utensils. The dining room table easily seats 8, which would be good for a large family. The check in process is not as easly as some properties, but only because you must stop and pick up a key rather than use a keypad. The air conditioner worked well, and there is a separate condenser unit for the upstairs, which is a definite plus. If I had to pick a negative, I would say the house is almost too bright. There are no curtains anywhere in the downstairs living area, and the upstairs also stays incredibly bright without room darkening curtains, so you are awake very early. The house is on the quieter side of the island, down past the high school

Couches and chairs have stains, bathrooms were not clean, food was found in microwave upon arrival, kitchen door to deck was almost impossible to open. Lights in closet did not work, bed in downstairs bedroom was on concrete blocks. Overall this property was not inline with the rental price that was charged. We have stayed at numerous rentals and this was the most disappointing.
