Killorn Guest House

We stayed in the Mull room and had an excellent experience. The room was spotless, very comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the pillows were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!

The only drawbacks were that the front door was left open by other guests on two occasions while we were there. For security reasons, I think there should be a self-closing mechanism or door closer installed to ensure the door closes properly behind guests. The other issue was the check-out time. Having to check out before 10:30 AM felt a little rushed. A later check-out time would make the stay more relaxed and enjoyable. Other than those two points, we had a very nice stay.

Well fitted out and modern. Tea and coffee available. Nice and clean.

Mentions 'family run' but we were sent a code to get in and recover our room key. So we didn't meet anyone then or when we left, as there were instructions about leaving the key. Maybe they're shy? Room was 2 floors up, no lift in such an old house, but no assistance with bags. Sea view was also overlooking the ferry port and the railway, and with ferries starting some time about 5.00am, and a noisy manhole cover outside, we couldn't sleep with the window open. p.s. the toilet roll holder appears to have been installed upside down so the roll will not stay on. I would have mentioned, had I seen someone.

Room was clean and tidy.

Room was very small, no wardrobe and not alot of floor space. No curtains on the window, only a blind which did not keep the light out. Location is too close to ferry terminal and you can hear the generators all night, so you cant open window for fresh air. Also there is a loose manhole cover right outside which evry car hits so not great for a good nights sleep. Think its a bit over priced as no breakfast included so would not stay here again.
