The property was absolutely stunning - one of a kind beauty nestled in the foothills of a mountain

A whimsical hotel in the northern periphery of Kyoto. Every aspect seems carefully designed and beautiful. The room is comfortable and staff very friendly. We were very impressed with the complimentary drinks in the lounge and minibar. It is located a short walk from the cable car which takes you above Kyoto to explore the temples and forests. Japanese breakfast with a view of the garden is great!
It is a bit further from the metro station and with luggage you need a taxi. Limited options for dinner if you decide not to eat at the hotel (fairly expensive).

Nice design of all the details in the hotel. Our one-year-old baby enjoyed the fish a lot in the garden. The washing sets are great. Dinner is valuable for the price and great food for both breakfast and dinner. Very friendly staff and peaceful location.
