Region: Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Town: Holy Island's western Trearddur Bay. It's breathtakingly gorgeous, with rocky coves and excellent sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing, and windsurfing are summertime favourites, and golfers love Holyhead's 18-hole links course. It's a terrific site for nature enthusiasts, with rock pools and cliff top treks. Trearddur Bay has shops, taverns and restaurants, while Holyhead has a great leisure complex, an intriguing harbour front, a marina, the world's second longest breakwater, and exciting ferry journeys to Dublin. Holyhead's Maritime Museum features a cafe, and the Breakwater Country Park has walks. Newborough's woodland and beach and Beaumaris' town and castle are further afield. Great place with lots to do!
