This is a great space, well stocked kitchen, great partial view of the ocean and the bay. Pool was great, grills were clean, parking was tight but adequate. It is a long walk to the beach but we didn’t mind. My only qualm was how uncomfortable the beds were and the pillows need refreshing. We hope to come back to this (GullWing) next year as we enjoyed it so much. Def do your shopping before you get to the island as Publix is even more expensive on the island. Don’t skip Bad Ass Coffee and we LOVED the food at snug harbor. The shelling was also fantastic every low tide! (The place was very clean- gave 4 stars because there was some pink and black in the grout lines the day we arrived.) The pool even offers up some pool toys and the room itself has a closet with beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys, and some pool toys! The only other thing I didn’t expect was when we went to the north end of the island we had to pay to park to go to dinner. The vast majority of the restaurants are on the north end. As a small town family, we didn’t expect this and obviously don’t got many tourist spots. It was 5 and hour on the street so not terrible but unexpected. I feel like FMB is still definitely revitalizing after hurricanes 4 and 2 years ago so lots of construction going on but we didn’t care. We really hope to come back here asap and see the progress.

Great location on beach. Very nice room. Slightly high in cost

The stay was fine and the place was as advertised. I would stay there again, with one exception - we had an early morning flight into the area. The unit was not booked the night before, but they refused to let us check in until 4 pm unless they paid their 70 extortion fee that only would get us in at 1 pm. What’s the purpose of this??? I get it if it was booked the night before - need to adjust the cleaning crew, etc. Also - I can guarantee that the homeowner of this property is not receiving this fee - it’s the management company that is pushing this. Because of this, I will not stay at a Distinctive Beach Rental property again as this is “their policy”. Again - makes ZERO sense when not booked the night before - only about the almighty . In addition, you would expect an appropriate amount of toiletries when staying there - no shampoo, no beach towels, limited toilet paper, and paper towel. We had to buy our own. This isn’t a big deal and was clear in the instructions, but you’re spending a lot of for these places - a little bit of extra effort would have been appreciated.

Refrigerator quit working halfway through. They supplied a used one after several calls and hours partialy blocking the kitchen access. Dishwasher was barely usable because of rusted racks. Kitchen did not have pot holders or hot plates. Limited amount of kitchen utensils.
