The Hill Guesthouse

A wonderful place to stay in Yerevan! The staff were absolutely amazing, incredibly friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. A special mention to the security gentleman, who was particularly kind and helpful throughout my stay. The team were also available via WhatsApp, which was brilliant when I had difficulties arranging taxis. Nothing seemed too much trouble. It’s a guesthouse rather than a hotel, so breakfast isn’t provided, but it had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The views over Yerevan from the guesthouse were absolutely wonderful and a real highlight. What really made this place special, though, was the kindness and hospitality of the people working there. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Yerevan.

There were just a few minor things that could be improved, but nothing that particularly affected my enjoyment of the stay. The guesthouse is located outside the city centre and, as the name suggests, up a hill! Walking into Yerevan would take around 30 minutes, and the uphill walk back would be quite challenging, so taxis are really the best option. The curtains didn’t fully cover the circular windows, which meant some light came into the room in the morning. Fortunately, I had an eye mask, so this wasn’t a problem for me. My room had two single beds, and being quite tall, I would have preferred a double bed. I managed to push the two together, but having a choice of bed configurations would be a nice improvement. The bath towels could also have been a little larger. These are all relatively minor points and certainly wouldn't put me off staying again. The wonderful staff, hospitality and views more than made up for them.

I really did not expect such good hotel for very reasonable for Yerevan price.

Bit far from anything needed to taxi(Yandex) everywhere but easy enough to do & quick
