The Rest Port Nd Downtown

Breakfast was good, had a mixed selection of foods and catered for different nationalities. Breakfast was from 7am to 10.30am. Hot and cold drinks, fresh orange juice was very nice, tea, coffee etc . Staff were friendly and helpful, restaurant was nice and clean but didn't open at any other times. Room had a mini fridge but would only work when you were in the room (same for the air-conditioning) as the room key controls the power to the room, we used any old plastic card to keep the power on when we were out (same size a bank/credit card). The fridge then got very cold and room remained cool as set by the A/C. There is on site parking controlled by reception.

There is another hotel close by with virtually the same name and that is where the GPS co-ordinates took us too! The best way to find it is to use address of the hotel in your GPS. We thought at times we were lost as some of the roads are litteral dirt tracks or look as if you are going to drive into a builders yard or garage!! Our room had a balcony which we wanted, however the air con unit was located there and continually left the balcony floor wet. The hotel is a non smoking facility, hence why we wanted a balcony, there are no table or chairs to sit out on and if the balcony is facing the sun the handrail gets so hot that you can not touch or lean against it. The main entrance has a good sized ramp for those who need to use one but once inside there are more steps to the reception, so no access for wheelchair users. However you can gain access via the ramp in the restaurant. We feel the restaurant was under used and would have been good for us for evening meals.

I visited this hotel many times and I will choose it again , good location , comfortable, friendly stuff, clean , only one thing I didnt like this time the stuff didnt clean and changed towels

Some of the furniture was broken and old, the half of the bed mattress was sunken and warped, side bed lights didn't work. The restaurant was in reconstruction and we had to search and eat outside.
