Perfect for our 2 night stopover whilst visiting family. Good parking.

Breakfast cereals, milk, tea, coffee & sugar were all an added bonus and a nice touch.

It’s really a lovely place to stay as a couple, but I think I’m too old for sofa beds now!

Very clean, nice quiet area, 15 minute walk to town. Easy to find, the host has set up everything really good so there’s information and there was milk and cereal and tea/coffee. The place is very clean, the rooms are spacious and it’s a good price. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable, the kids had that, we had the sofa bed.

The sofa bed, like most sofa beds, is not very comfortable, I didn’t mind it so much last time when we stayed here the year before but this time I found it more uncomfortable, maybe an age thing on my part? The shower was a bit hard to keep the water at the right temperature, but not really a big deal.

A large flat in a quiet location, but unfortunately not modern, not well equipped, and far below the standard advertised

The location of the property was fine - we walked into town/seafront and was certainly manageable. There was allocated parking on site.

Cleanliness & Comfort • Main bedroom bedding — The duvet cover was old and bobbly, giving the impression of long‑term use rather than fresh, hotel‑standard linen. • Sofa comfort — The sofa was extremely uncomfortable and clearly very old. • Sofa bed setup — No extra sheets or bedding were provided for the sofa bed. • Towels — Towels were basic, thin, and not fluffy or appealing. 🍽️ Kitchen & Supplies • Tea/coffee/sugar — Provided in open containers rather than sealed sachets, leaving us unsure how long they had been there or whether they had been used by previous guests. • Dining chairs — The material on the dining chairs was peeling and scratched. 🔥 Heating & Facilities • Heating system — Dated and temperamental, not what you’d expect from a property described as modern. • General equipment — Overall, the flat lacked the quality and functionality expected from a “well equipped” listing. 🚿 Bathroom & Fixtures • Bathroom flooring — Old, lifting, and damaged. • Sink plug hole — Discoloured and visibly aged. • Front door layout — The main front door opens directly into the bathroom, with a plain interior door opening outward into the communal hallway. • Bathroom door squeak — The bathroom door squeaked loudly when opening and closing, adding to the overall sense of poor maintenance. 🧱 Condition & Maintenance • Wardrobe damage — Clear water damage on the rear of the wardrobe. • Wall condition — Peeling paint and water damage in both the lounge and bedroom. • These issues collectively made the flat feel neglected and far from modern. 🏁 Overall Despite its size and quiet location, the flat was dated, worn, and sub‑standard. Many elements felt neglected or poorly maintained, and the overall experience did not match the description of a “modern and well equipped” property. With proper investment and attention, it could be improved — but in its current state, it falls well short of expectations.

Good location and all the amenities we needed. The host was brilliant in her communications prior to the arrival and was accommodating with our little one. She had left a lovely guide book of things to go see and where everything was in the vicinity of the flat.

The cleaning could be better, we found a lot of dust in flat and cobwebs that could have been cleared.
