Grand Plaza Badr Al Maqam Fully Renovated

An exceptional stay just a 2-minute walk from the Haram! The entire team provided top-tier service from start to finish. We had originally booked a city view room which wasn't available the first night. Fortunately the team upgraded us to a more spacious room with a city view and extra space, including an extra bed. We stayed on the second floor, which was a huge advantage because we could easily use the stairs when elevators got crowded during salah times. A special mention to Mr Khan who delivered a 10/10 cleaning service. He kept our room spotless, surprised us with lovely towel art, boxes of dates and always greeted us with a warm smile. When we fell unwell during our stay, he went above and beyond by arranging a wheelchair. Truly heartfelt hospitality - wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

Busy elevators but this was expected

The hotel is located at an ideal location and it's just 3 mins walk to Masjid. The hotel is very closely located and is surrounded by all good restaurants and on walking distance of major ziayarat.

The lift is over crowded and many times took a lot of time to get inside a lift especially during prayer timings.

Hotel is extremely close to Al Haram especially the womens sections. Hotel is good overall but few things you might need to consider if you get a smaller room or travel with less than 3 people. Water stays instead of draining - floor is level instead of an angle helping water flow down the drain. Major slip hazard, (my mum nearly fell) Shower glass screen is small so water splashes out on the floor. Toilet space in general is extremely small. 2 single beds was our room- beds and mattresses were extremely stiff. Luckily Khan was amazing and provided softer mattress covers. He was polite, amazing and worked always with a smile. Made my elderly mother stay much easier.
