El Consul Mao - Hotel Boutique

Superb location and very nice hotel with great staff.

Nothing

The hotel was very close to the centre so ideally located. We were met by Jessie who showed us to our room. The room was very nice and all was good. Communication was good prior to arriving. The bedding was lovely and much appreciated by my wife.

Unfortunately I was kept awake at various times during the night by traffic outside, firstly the bin men, then street cleaner machines. I appreciate that the hotel don't have control over this however I expect an uninterrupted night sleep when paying what I consider a premium price for a boutique hotel for one night.

We had a wonderful stay here. The building itself has been beautifully modernised — they've clearly put real thought into blending original character with a sleek, contemporary finish, and the result feels both stylish and comfortable. Breakfast was a real highlight: a generous spread with plenty of fresh options, and everything cooked to order was excellent. The staff were also really welcoming and very friendly. Highly recommended!

Morning

Faultlessly clean, tastefully decorated and great location in the centre of Mahon. Veronique and her team were fantastic, welcoming, friendly and made the stay very enjoyable and relaxing. The breakfast of fresh local produce was superb.
