Super 8 by Wyndham Ottawa Starved Rock

The room was clean, breakfast was great and close enough to nearby restaurants. I'd recommend to anyone staying there in town.

The price was excellent for our stay. We visited Starved Rock State Park which was about a 20-minute drive from this location. Culvers and Starbucks are next door. There's a really good Mexican restaurant very close by. The bed was comfortable. We had a fridge. The room did smell like curry and the breakfast was very bland, no protein, but lots of carb choices available. Definitely not the way Expedia described it in the advertisement. You may not want to rely on the breakfast there to satisfy your morning meal. We did have a quiet stay minus the motorcycles that pulled up right next to our window on ground level. All in all, the good outweighed the bad! Couldn't beat the price.

I was very happy that the room was updated and clean. We were able to sleep well. The breakfast does not contain much in the way of protein, but we had our coffee and yogurt. They do have the "famous" waffle maker if you like those.

Clean and neat. Quiet surroundings.
