Bayside Geelong Hotel & Apartments, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The room was a good size and looking out to the bay was amazing on the balcony

This hotel was perfect for a little getaway with the kids. Room was stunning and amenities provided were great - we especially loved the nice touch of a little gift for the kids on our beds when we arrived. The kids loved the pool. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. We paid a little extra to include breakfast - it was a continental buffet with toast, cereal, juice, barista coffee included, and a small selection of fruits, pastries, meats and cheese. We had the option to upgrade for $10 to include eggs, or replace the buffet with an a la carte meal, but the kids enjoyed the buffet and it was enough to get us going for the day. Plenty of parking on the street next door if needed overnight, though there is a 2 hour limit during the day. Otherwise parking is very pricey at the hotel. Overall it was a great stay and we will definitely return!

The room we stayed in had just been renovated and was in top condition. The pool was outstanding. I couldn’t fault the cleanliness in any of the common areas. I found the room temperature to be ok but thought maybe a fan would have helped at night. There is limited free parking so be sure to add secure parking to your reservation, note cars over 2m in height probably won’t fit. Excellent location, with a nice Mexican restaurant just a short drive.

Could not fault this accommodation. The staff were incredible, amenities perfect and the kids were so well looked after with plentiful activities to do
