You will be given a room that you picked and it will give you a majestic view of the lands around the chateau. The furniture inside the chateau is old but clean and comfortable. Decorations include treasured family memorabilia and an exotic collection of artifacts that have been collected all over the world. As you explore its surroundings, you'll notice that the nearby river, old wooden bridge, grassy meadows and quiet woods will add to your sense of belonging. By the time you leave, you will feel that you will miss the Baron, his hospitality and the Chateau itself because it seemed that you were really a part of his family... This is a unique and a once in a lifetime experience but you have to tradeoff typical hotel facilities in exchange of feeling like a guest of the owner, Baron Jean Pierre Potet, wife Corrine aand 2 kids, whose family has owned the property, 40,000 square feet of castle on 70 acres, for 400 years. If you are willing to carry your own bags to your room, no TV, handheld shower, no restaurant in the castle and only breakfast, although a gourmet one 5 minutes away, it is like being invited to a museum by the owner. Take a tour of the castle guided by the owner and you will admire 400 year old art, a piano played by Chopin, 400 hundred year old gobellinos, etc. Read a book in one of the various sitting rooms. Wallk ( or drive ) the grounds and you will have the oportunity to see a camel, a llama, a beautiful river, etc. If you really want to feel how it was to be a guest in a castle, this is it. I recommende a 2 to 3 night stay.
