Amarin Resort Chiang Rai

Very pleasant and helpful staff

The hotel is a pleasant and spacious place to be. In my opinion, it should not be called a resort, a little misleading. The manager is very helpful and helped us put together a trip to the Golden Triangle. The rooms are large, independent, and clean. The mattresses are very hard and I mentioned it to the manager and they put a soft topper on my bed, so no problem. The included breakfast is a cut above most included breakfasts. The hotel is one level, individual rooms, in a park like setting. The bellman did have a trolley to take our suitcases to our rooms.

The staff was very helpful, but the hotel needs renovations. The manager did everything i asked him for to please us. He also speaks clear English. The rooms are a bit far from the parking spaces, this makes it difficult to carry the luggage to the room. There is no ramp to pull the luggage up to the room. I probably should have asked for someone to carry my luggage for me. There is no swimming pool. Thailand is extremely hot and if you plan to stay several nights in one place, a pool is a must to cool off when we return from a tour of the town... I recommend for a night, but not several nights.

Very spacious room and quite place to stay. Room is very clean and good breakfast.
