Outstanding stay, thanks to an exceptional team We had a wonderful stay, and the staff is what made it truly memorable. From start to finish, the team went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Cecilia, in particular, was amazing. When we ran into an issue with a driver pickup, she stepped in and handled it with genuine care and professionalism. She went above and beyond to make things right, and it turned what could have been a frustrating moment into one of the best service experiences we've ever had at a hotel. If you stay here, you're in great hands. Thank you, Cecilia, and the entire team, for taking such good care of us. And the breakfasts were awesome too.

Very clean rooms. Great hotel to stay at and great bar.

The staff was most welcoming, efficiant and helpful. The balcony with river view was wonderful. The complimentary bottle of wine in the room was special.

A beautiful place high above the Douro river. Exceptionally helpful staff. The Spa are is included in the room price plus there is an outdoor pool area with a bar which was closed when we visited in Oct. The hotel offers a collection of activities from guided walks, boat trips live music and a variety of wine and port tastings. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including a wine pairing menu, everything was tasty and well presented. Breakfast was a buffet and included everything you would want however they aren’t geared up for tea drinkers lol. The only small negative is that the room wasn’t cleared of dirty cups or glasses but beds were made and towels changed. If you want to swim inside you must wear a swim cap which are available to buy.
