La Frégate - Bidart - Hôtel by Miléade

The hotel is basic but the location and view are unbeatable and the rates were fair. Would stay there again!

La Frégate feels like a weathered beach lodge. It is clean and comfortable and the ocean view (and constant sound of the waves) is everything! The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice (for an additional €13) and the reception area features a full bar, where you can conveniently order a café or cocktail. The local buses go into Bayonne, Biarritz, Guethary or Saint Jean de Luz. Bedding and bathroom were comfortable. I wish the balcony windows had screens, as small flies appeared on warmer days. But overall, it was a wonderful stay. We recommend this hotel.

Fanny at the front desk went above and beyond to take care of my companion when they fell ill for a night. She was always smiling and radiated positivity. The entire staff was exceptional—especially the cleaning lady, who was both respectful and friendly. Le Fregate truly felt like a home away from home.

5 star location with a 3 star hotel. The hotel could be easily turned into a 4 star hotel. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are 3 star rooms.
