Friars Carse Country House Hotel

The location of the hotel is excellent with great walks along the river. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Some maintenance was needed to windows in our room and the corridor, with external painting needed, however otherwise our room was fine. All staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient - really good service. The restaurant menu was excellent. We only eat fish and vegetables, but there was a really good choice of options which we considered on the menu. The dinner was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return, as we really enjoyed our stay at Friars Carse Hotel. Thank you very much!

Definitely pet friendly, lovely hotel with excellent grounds for dog walking. Would definitely use again

Spotless room, all staff polite, welcoming and accommodating. Great food at dinner, breakfast might need updating a little but totally acceptable. Premises gorgeous in communal areas but needs a little updating too. Would recommend

We had a very lovely stay. The room was brilliant— dulex double ! The view was stunning. We loved that it was out a bit but still close to Dumfries for a wee wander.
