Hotel Don Alfonso

Hotel Don Alfonso is historic and beautiful! We enjoyed exploring every charming area! The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and Louis was exceptional—greeting us right away at check-in, sharing helpful information about the area, and even offering to help us improve our Spanish, which we really appreciated. The location is excellent and within walking distance of many restaurants, including two great Peruvian restaurants across the street that became our favorites. As expected in a city, it can be a little noisy, but the convenience of the location made up for it. Breakfast was delicious, and when we had to leave early for an excursion, the hotel kindly prepared a breakfast to go. Our room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. The first night the air conditioner wasn’t working properly, but the staff quickly offered us another room with a working unit, which made the rest of our stay much more comfortable. We really appreciated the hospitality and service and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

I liked the breakfast menu and also the cordial attention from the staff.

We arrived and we were greeted and immediately felt like part of the family. The hotel is beautiful, charming and historic. Breakfast was a home cooked breakfast not buffet food. Cooked with care. We will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others
