Michamvi Sunset Bay

Location excellent, staff were lovely and very helpful, pool area great, beach beds shaded under coconut palms. Sea had a lot of weed but still fine for swimming. Food was good and they set up the dinner dining area in different locations including twice on the beach which was magical.

The moment we arrived at michamvi sunset bay resort we knew that we would have great and relaxing time there. It is a beautiful place and the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip and made us feel at home. The room was very clean and comfortable and offered a nice view of the garden/pool area and the bay. The beach in front of the hotel was cleaned every morning (like the rest of the hotel). Due to a celiacs disease my wife needs a strictly glutenfree diet, and the kitchen crew at the hotel went all-in in providing safe and delicious options. They cooked the glutenfree food seperately from the rest, tried new recipies for bread, and the carrot-cake was perfect as well. We definetely recommend michamvi sunset bay resort and will come back the next time we come to zansibar.

Wonderful boutique property. Great beach. Good food choices. Full board worked out well. Very friendly manager and staff. We had late checkout till 2:30 PM as room was empty next day.

This hotel is magnificent with a location right on the beach, which is clean and has calm waters where you can swim without encountering sea urgents. Food is lovely and the staff smiling and helpful at all times. The new bathrooms are great.
