Welcoming and helpful staff. We dined in restaurant food was excellent. Room comfortable with view of the river. Stay could have been improved as road traffic noise is a wee bit loud at certain times. AC unit also a wee bit noisy. Overall a pleasant stay and we would stay again.

We stayed one night in the Hotel La Tour, which we enjoyed very much. Our spacious bedroom, No.1, has a lovely view over the river. The seafood restaurant is highly recommended, with an excellent house white wine (Tariquet), and breakfast was equally outstanding. The following morning we strolled into Libourne and sampled hot chocolate at Sohpie, an outstanding chocolatier in the square. The town musem and art gallery rounded off a highly enjoyable stop-over on our journey between Carcassonne and Normandy.
