Acorn Motel

My family and I have stayed at the Acorn numerous times. The staff is as helpful as they can be, the rooms are clean, the amenities in the room are all we need. A small family run motel, no elevator but free laundry which is terrific so you can travel with just a carry-on. My room had a wee kitchenette - I was reheating for the most part so it was perfect. Breakfast - basic; toast, bagels, cereal, juices, apples and coffee - that's what a continental is!! A solid 3 star property out of 5 - loses one because of the lack of an elevator. Suited my purpose well and I usually stay for about 5 nights.

Very clean

The kitchen was well stocked, room was clean and comfortable. It is an older hotel with some age showing. Staff were exceptional. Overall a great stay at a reasonable price

I had an excellent experience at this place. Was immediately and warmly greeted when I arrived and soon was discussing places to visit, hike, and traveling in general. The room was big, the kitchenette was super clean and everything you need is there - a pan, pot, utensils, and soap, towels, and a scrubbie to clean things up. Everything worked as it supposed to. Shower was nice and hot. WiFi was pretty decent! I had originally picked this place because it was getting late and I needed to stop, however, I liked the motel and the hamlet so much I stayed for another day to do some hiking and exploring. Lots to do in a beautiful setting.
