Tolip Aswan Hotel

Pool was great, beautiful hotel. It is the 4 Seasons of Aswan

I was there at the beginning of summer so very few people, which was a shame. Hotel staff were all extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Did not use the beautiful pool because it was just too hot. Excellent turnaround time for laundry service which we took advantage of twice. Very nice breakfast buffet. Lovely view of the Nile from our two bedroom, two bathroom suite.

The hotel staff are amazing. We were upgraded on arrival and the room view and location were excellent. The breakfast buffet was huge and fantastic. But here’s the problem with this hotel. It’s old. It needs a proper refurbishment. The decor looks like it’s from the 1990s and that’s why I think it’s overpriced. It’s more of a 4 star hotel than a 5.

Staff were pleasant and helpful but the cleanliness of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Something had been spilt on the floor in the hall and was there for the entire 2 days we were at the hotel. The pool chairs were dirty. Breakfast buffet was fine. The evening menu items were better than the evening buffet. The hotel location is close to the river cruises but it is not a nice area to walk.
