Carmel Green Lantern Inn

It is a nice little place near the Beach. The Garden is beautiful and the Inn is very welcoming! The room was clean and it was quiet at night.

We stayed in the "Spruce" room. Aside from very steep staircase, it was a wonderful room. Very challenging to lug suitcases up the stairs though. I am partially disabled and it was a struggle. Also, there is only one disabled parking space available and the hotel manager said there was an older couple that needed it more than I did. They did not have disabled plates or a placard. So, I had to haul my suitcases about 100 feet to the steps and then get them up the stairs. I might suggest only allowing disabled plates to use that spot. It is, by the way, illegal to park there without disabled plates or a placard. Other than this minor irritation, the hotel and our room were very clean and attractive. Good bed and shower head pressure. Good showers at the coast are rare.
