Old Hall Hotel

We had a really good time and we recommend the hotel.

The old hall hotel was spotless from top to bottom. We really enjoyed the pool jacuzzi sauna and steam room for which towels were also provided. All the staff were very happy to help and were lovely. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.

My stay was almost excellent. A lovely, clean room with good facilities and a comfy bed. The staff were mostly great - especially in Branfords where the female staff in particular were hardworking, super-friendly and cheerful and in the gym/spa where they were all pleasant and helpful. I had a lovely massage by Teira (?) and enjoyed the warm pool and jacuzzi. The breakfasts were excellent too. The maids worked hard also and were very sweet. Low spots were for me, as a woman staying alone for four nights, no internal door lock, chain or peephole. When I asked about the lock/chain I was told it was for security/emergency issues but this didn't reassure me, especially as the hotel isn't manned overnight. Also, the heated towel rail in the bathroom was broken and when I asked about this I was told, "Yeah, they're all broken.' So to keep the bathroom warm I had to prop the door open. Sorting these things for me would have made this stay really fabulous.

Enjoyed a one night stay here en route to Suffolk. Chose this hotel on the recommendation of a friend and in particular for the access to their leisure facilities, which we made use of several times. We found the staff we encountered to be friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast offering was more than ample and very tasty. We didn't eat in the adjacent restaurant on the evening of our stay as we had already had our main meal at lunch and simply weren't hungry but it seemed busy, Overall, we considered this 3* star hotel represented good value for money and would definitely return if passing the area.
