I loved the onsen and the room. Location is perfect.

The lake view was great from the top floor. Rooms were neat and clean. I might have preferred a softer bed and an extra pillow (but it was a japanese style room). Bathroom and shower was functional but small (not unexpected in Japan). Onsen was nice with a small covered outdoor section.
Just next to the Lake and easy access to the town area and restaurants.
Reasonable value for money considering significantly higher costs at neighbouring hotels that were probably more luxurious.

the food is so so, not bad, not good, moddle, simple
I will book the hotel next time, but go outside to eat
