Hotel Linde Durbach

Toll gelegen. Leckeres Restaurant

The quaint nature of the hotel, set beneath the vineyards along a winding road through a well-tended wine village is certainly worth mentioning. We ate at the hotel's restaurant and ordered white wine from grapes whose vines were within sight, perhaps a couple hundred yards above? Only hesitation regarding the property? It's been very hot this week and without air conditioning, one must sleep with the windows open and/or decide whether the ambiant noise of the diners below or the loud whirr of the room's fan is going to be the most distracting. Bring earplugs and you should be just fine!

The best stay of my entire trip! I arrived late, but the kitchen kindly prepared an absolutely delicious dinner for me, even though it had already closed. The staff were warm, friendly and thoughtful, and made me feel welcome and well looked after. Their kindness made this a truly memorable stay. Highly recommended!
