Lyra Hotel Plitvice

The staff were friendly and helpful. Even though there were three large tour groups, we still felt valued. The room was very nice (although it could have used more light) We had a very enjoyable stay. It was an excellent jump-off point for the Plitvice lakes and waterfalls

Excellent staff, receptionist and restaurant- Lamar is A1. Laxmi is very courteous. Cook staff is very flexible. TV kept conking out, and AC was not on- we were asked to open the window- and we were right above where the tour buses park. Noisy. Especially when the tour bus is full of Chinese tourists- non stop loud noise. Difficult place to stay when the hotel is full of these buses.

I am picky about hotels but this was good. Plus, there is nothing comparable in the area. It's either camping or motels so this is a no brainer! I wish the pool was heated but the rooms are spacious and staff was wonderful. Breakfast int he morning was perfect!
