Onsen Guesthouse Tsutaya - Hostel

Perfect place for an overnight stay. The onsen was great and the scenery was serene with the sound of the river and pristine forest view. Be prepared to eat dinner early as most restaurants close at 7pm and are very busy with tourists so make a reservation ahead of time if possible. Bus stop is right in front of the hotel making it so convenient. Google Maps will show walking paths as the shortest route but I would recommend taking a longer route on a bus or taxi because the walking paths are super steep and no fun if you have luggage. The roads are also very narrow in places.

We stayed at the Superior Twin Room with private bathroom. The view from that room was simply amazing. We really enjoyed making good use of the kitchen and common areas. The kitchen has utensils, coffee, tea and filtered hot and cold water. The common area also had a bunch of different books and games if you felt like having a relaxing day. The best part of this place is the Onsen. Also, there is a 7-11 within a 3 min walk. Overall, I highly recommend

Great spot, the pictures don't really show how fancy it feels inside. Lots of great info for guests around the hotel. Location is great overall, close to Gora Open Air museum.

Laid back and easy stay. Decent location if staying outside Hakone. Onsen was quite basic
