Holiday Inn Express And Suites Galveston Beach

Elevator was broken had to walk stairs because of long wait.

My review is from the standpoint of a parent with two young children, one who has cognitive, hearing, and mobility impairment. The parking lot is across a street and behind the hotel. The only wheelchair route coming from the garage to the hotel is at the street corners where the street is uneven and likely impassable for a larger person. The hotel itself is extremely nice and has lots of space in the room and common areas for a wheelchair. The staff were really nice.

We checked in later in the night and the gentlemen that assisted us (I believe his name was Matt) was easily the kindest and most efficient person I’ve ever encountered at a hotel check-in. Our room was very clean and cool, the bathroom was very clean, and there was plenty of linen! Everyone slept great but, unfortunately we missed breakfast (6:30-9:30). We used the pool the next morning which was clean and there were plenty of pool towels outside to use afterwards. We could see the ocean from the pool. The hotel is located perfectly between multiple restaurants that are walking distance. Overall the inside and outside of the hotel was fabulous, every single staff member we encountered was very kind and helpful. We 100% will be back for our next trip to town!
