Very interesting old building that was used for different purposes before becomming a hotel. Appears to be family owned and run. Owners are very nice and helpful. All staff members were pleasant and gracious. Excellent restaurant, with many tasty choices for dinner and breakfast. Nice bar. Friendly house dog that loves to greet the guests. Convenient location within Castle Douglas. Lots of free parking.
