Kruger Shalati - Train on the Bridge and Garden Suites

What a delightful experience at the Kruger Shalati!! From the amazing staff to the amazing facility, everything was full stars! When we left, I was so sad to return to the “real world”. We had the pleasure of riding with Victor for our daily game rides and spotted all Big 5! Victor was amazing along with his companion Amaze! We also had the pleasure of having our waiter Bheki for lunch and Dinner and Kate for breakfast. They were tremendous! The food was also amazing. You have to book this stay!! I’m missing it every day.

This must be one of the most special properties in South Africa, if not on the entire African continent! Every detail of our stay was made to feel extraordinarily special, from the staff stocking the game drives with our favourite beverages, to the intimate surprise fireside dinner for two. We truly left feeling that if we were to return, our favourite staff members would remember us. Thoughtful menus and wine list, superb and unique decor that embraces the local surroundings, and pleasantly long and educational game drives.

Great accommodation, beautiful style, great food in every meal as well as super nice and helpful staff, specially the game drive guides which do an excellent job. Personalized treatment, the staff pays high attention to details, from your everyday coffee to your food allergies. Overall a wonderful stay!

We had the most incredible time for our honeymoon. What a perfect place to have the safari trip of a lifetime!! You can even see animals from the train during the day like hippo, elephant and buffalo! The staff go above and beyond. The food was excellent. The highlight was obviously the incredible safari game drives!! It’s so helpful having such knowledgeable people take you around the park.
